High-Performing Monitored Alarm Systems for Uninterrupted Protection
A monitored alarm system is one of the most effective ways to ensure continuous, professional protection for your property. At Johnson Controls, we combine world-leading technology with expert monitoring services to deliver reliable, real-time security for homes, businesses, and critical facilities.
When an incident occurs - such as an intrusion, fire, or system fault - your alarm system instantly sends a secure signal to our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The ARC team assesses the situation and initiates the appropriate response, whether that means alerting emergency services, contacting keyholders, or activating pre-agreed security measures. This rapid, professional response ensures that threats are detected and dealt with before they can escalate.
How a Monitored Alarm System Works
A monitored alarm system operates 24/7, connecting your intruder alarms, fire alarms, and security sensors to our monitoring network. In the event of an alarm activation, the system automatically communicates with the Alarm Receiving Centre through secure, encrypted signalling paths.
The method of signalling can vary depending on your risk profile and premises type. Options include broadband, mobile, or dual-path signalling systems to ensure a fully monitored, resilient connection that is almost impossible to compromise. This constant supervision guarantees that any loss of communication or attempted interference is detected immediately, maintaining your system’s integrity at all times.

High-performing Security Devices to Offer an Unceasing and Robust Protection
Intruder and Fire alarm systems provide the optimum protection when used in conjunction with an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). In the event of an alarm condition the alarm system will send a signal to the Alarm Receiving Centre and appropriate action such as the emergency services.
There are several ways of transmitting the signal from the site to the Alarm Receiving Centre, providing a secure signalling route which is fully monitored and therefore difficult to compromise. The method of signalling will depend on the level of risk associated with the premises.
