Testimonial - Emma McConkey, HR Intern Belfast, Northern Ireland

“My role as HR Administration Intern commenced June 2022 with Johnson Controls and I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay on and work part time through my final year. My role includes liaising with Managers, conducting end of month overtime hours, taking employees through the onboarding process, and working closely with other employees in different offices to conduct general HR enquiries. Apart from my day-to-day duties, I also help the production team.

I would highly recommend applying for an internship role in Johnson Controls. You will not only gain real world experience in what it is like to work for a leading company but also set yourself apart from others to give you the best possible advantage to strive with your career – especially in the early stages. From your first day you will feel welcomed into your team gaining on hands experience. I am looking forward to carrying on working closely with all employees here in Belfast and further afield as well as broadening my workload into not only HR but different departments to gain as much experience as possible.”
