Allianz Stadium Twickenham Technology advances enhance fire safety

Allianz Stadium, the iconic home of England Rugby, is the world’s largest dedicated rugby union venue with capacity for up to 82,000 spectators. Beyond its role as a premier sporting arena, it has evolved into a dynamic destination that attracts visitors from around the world. Fans and guests come to experience the excitement of match days, enjoy world-class performances, explore the stadium’s rich heritage through guided tours, visit the World Rugby Museum, attend exclusive events, or browse the Rugby Store. Even on non-event days, the stadium remains active with its on-site hotel, health and fitness club, and retail spaces.

Background

For more than two decades, Allianz Stadium relied on 19 Tyco MX4000 fire alarm control panels with MX Digital detection and MX Graph central graphics. As technology advanced, the stadium upgraded to Zettler Profile Flexible control and indicating equipment with TXG front-end graphics, while retaining existing addressable devices to reduce disruption and cost.
