Johnson Controls has been a member of IWBI since April 2021, earning the WELL Health-Safety Rating for four consecutive years at its regional headquarters in Shanghai, China, and Glendale, Wisconsin.
These sites have implemented enhanced emergency preparedness measures, equipping employees to respond swiftly and effectively in critical situations. In addition, access to health services and wellness initiatives supports both physical and mental well-being, helping to prevent illness and promote a healthier workplace. Reinforcing its commitment to employee health, Johnson Controls has also enrolled in IWBI’s WELL at Scale programme, aiming to embed WELL features, ratings, and certifications throughout the organisation.
“The WELL movement continues to gain momentum thanks to forward-thinking organisations around the globe. This year’s award recipients have truly impressed us with their unwavering dedication to creating people-centred spaces and fostering a healthier world for everyone.”
IWBI President and CEO Rachel Hodgdon
In addition to its internal initiatives, Johnson Controls is an active member of the Healthy Workplaces Coalition, collaborating with over 90 national organisations to advocate for federal policies that prioritise health and safety in the workplace.
The company also serves as a WELL Enterprise Provider, supporting other organisations in adopting WELL’s science-backed standards - helping to advance healthier building practices across industries and around the world.
