Johnson Controls Neige, specialist in design, installation, maintenance and service of snowmaking systems for outdoor winter sports areas, is a major and leading player of the winter sport industry since 1976. The company belongs to the Johnson Controls group, based in Milwaukee (USA), specialist in the automotive systems, Power solutions, as well as controls and regulation.In France, the company is based in Sainte Luce s/ Loire (44) and in Dardilly (69). For its international activities, Johnson Controls Neige has a network of subsidiaries (Italy and North America) and distributors located in 17 countries.
The projects of Johnson Controls Neige cover most of the mountains of the world, from the borders of China, to Australia, Korea, Japan, without forgetting the alpine area countries: Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France or Spain, Andorra and with an opening towards Central and Eastern European markets, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Russia…
Besides Johnson Controls devotes 5% of its annual sales turnover to a large scale R&D program which makes it possible to consolidate the technological advance acquired over the last 30 years and also to bring the optimum solutions in the achievement of the snowmaking projects of ski areas.
Another key component of the strategy of the company: the quality and the effectiveness of the Johnson Controls Neige service proposed to the operators, through a complete offer of contracts of service. The range of the contracts extends from basic solutions to integral solutions in which YORK assumes all responsibility for the maintenance of the snowmaking system, a “build your own” service contract” option is also available.
An environmental commitment: the Right Snow and the ISO14001 certification
Initiated in 2005, the “Right Snow Production” program aims at implementing the most advanced techniques, equipment and processes in order to allow optimal and controlled management resources of snowmaking (water and energy). The goal is to make possible an optimal use, while safeguarding energy and water resources. This program lies within the broader scope of a thought on the environmental integration of the practices related to the developments of snow production equipment.In that respect, Johnson Controls has engaged into a ISO14001 certification process (environmental management standards) which ended in March 2008 with the successful certification of the company. The scope of the ISO14001 certification for Johnson Controls Neige is very wide: from product design to field implementation, and maintenance operations.
